SIn January 2013 Sora Marine Services has entered into a Joint Venture agreement with the German company Turbo-Technik and established Turbo-Technik Middle East LLC. Turbo-Technik is a world-wide operating service and repair company in the field of commercial vessels, navy ships and industrial plants. Since the mid 70-ties, the world-wide service for LNG carriers and cryogenic equipment has been a speciality for Turbo-Technik.

Turbo-Technik offers after-sales services for major marine and industrial equipment manufacturers and carries out maintenance and repairs to ships calling Ras Laffan or other gulf ports, as well as seagoing travelling repairs. Furthermore the services will be offered to the local industrial plants and TurboTechnik Middle East will also endeavour to participate in international projects of plant manufacturing. Turbo-Technik has been involved in serveral industrial plant constructions for companies like Hitachi or Siemens in Europe and can now offer the services more competitive outside Europe with the experience, technology and quality of German engineering.
